2002 RYA Regional Communication Awards

On Saturday 11th January 2003 the RYA presented the 2002 Communication Awards for newsletters and websites at the 49th Schroders London International Boat Show. 

A reception was held in the RYA Lounge and Jon Challis, RYA Communications Manager, addressed about 200 RYA members from throughout 14 RYA regions who were packed into the lounge to witness the event.  

Orkney Sailing Club was the winner of the Scottish Region Website.  OSC's webmaster Chris Irvine, accompanied by club members Bob Moar, Brian Kynoch and Club Treasurer John Hinckley, were present to collect the award.  Chris was presented with a beautiful silver pen and holder. 

Orkney Sailing Club extends congratulations to all the Regional Winners and especially the winners of the national award, Crawley Mariners YC.

The Silver pen and holder received by Orkney Sailing Club for winning the RYA Regional (Scotland) Communication Award.
